Maria (@mariabujalska) : We’re a Polish-Dutch family with two fun-loving boys and a fluffy sheep-a-doodle, recently back in Europe after over a decade in San Francisco. Both industrial designers in tech, Marten and I draw daily inspiration from our adventurous boys. As a family, we love outdoor activities—biking, hiking, skiing, and exploring—with plenty of energy to try new things. We care about the environment and aim to live sustainably through mindful choices in diet, travel, and home products. Being designers with strong opinions, choosing items for our home is always an adventure!
We absolutely love our KAOS Klapp chairs—not only do they look fantastic and add a pop of color to our dining table, but our kids love the functionality, they enjoy climbing into the chair by themselves (with supervision). The chair is light, making it easy to move around and use as a ladder or by the window for a better view, and even bringing it with us in the van, since it folds up so easily!
Both our children (one and four) use the Klapp chair and we can easily imagine them using them for years to come. Since the chairs are easy to stow, we’ll likely keep them around for younger visitors!
The Klapp chair is clearly well-made with lovingly considered details; the recycled material looks and feels durable, and after withstanding plenty of tough love from our kids, messy meals and many adventures, a quick clean leaves it looking and feeling as good as new.
The price of the Klapp chair is more than reasonable, especially considering that our kids can—and will want to—use it for many years; it’s a quality product that grows with them, enduring messy meals and countless adventures as they get older.
