The story ofKAOS KLAPP®

Born in a small apartment in Oslo

The idea for KAOS KLAPP® came when we had our second children and suddenly realized: two traditional high chairs didn’t fit around our tiny kitchen tables! We needed an ergonomic high chair that could grow with the child, save space, and still look good in our Scandinavian homes. We couldn't find one, so we decided to make it.

From idea to icon – together with Ole Petter Wullum

We teamed up with the Norwegian designer (and father of five) Ole Petter Wullum. Ole Petter was especially focused on giving children a sense of mastery: letting them climb up, sit down by themselves, and feel proud of it. His inspiration for KLAPP® came from something as simple as a staircase – a place that invites movement, flexibility, and different sitting positions.

After four years and countless prototypes, KAOS KLAPP® was born. The result? An award-winning high chair that combines timeless design, functionality – and sustainability.
